Being a non-native speaker (Russian), I sought to improve my verbal. My previous GMAT verbal was 27 (42 percentile). I had three weeks before the next GMAT and was desperate preparing, without much improvement. Fortunately, recently I came across Jim’s page on Grockit. I read some reviews and decided to give it a try. I studied three weeks with Jim and the results were just excellent. First of all I felt much more confident taking the test, since what we covered was actually tested on the real exam. Second of all, taking the GMAT today, I couldn’t believe my eyes, when my verbal score popped up on the screen. It was 37 (80 percentile) this time. It was a humongous increase; my verbal score almost doubled, compared to the previous attempt. Jim did a great job. He enriched my knowledge and understanding of not only GMAT verbal, but also the structure of the English itself. He is truly proficient in GMAT and can teach anyone how to do very well on the exam. If you need to boost up your score, you should go with Jim.

Jim da man!...great verbal tutor! I clearly saw my verbal score in practice tests improving after getting tutored by Jim. He has a great knowledge on SC and is excellent on CR. Beyond everything...he has the patience. He will take the time to explain things to you and will make sure you get it right. If you want to up your verbal score...you need to go with Jim...NO DOUBT!

I know this is going to be a back to back testimonial...but this one is for something completely different (essay-editing). I was taking verbal classes with Jim (a good number of classes) and during that course asked him if he would do the essay editing and he immediately said yes! I was a bit skeptical when I started off. But Jim being Jim...asked me to pay for just 1 essay and see how it goes? I gave him the toughest essay (trust me...this essay was HUGE)...and he did an AMAZING JOB. He is a great editor. He has great feel for the following areas: Structure, word usage, grammar, and clarity. He even helps you to come up with ideas. I got a total of 10 + 1 optional essay (same one for all schools) edited by him...and I am TOTALLY satisfied with the quality of work. The best thing of all is...he is very patient and flexible with the number of edits...if its a long essay...he does around 5 edits (usually he does 3). So here's the deal...I got into the NUMERO UNO school of my choice!!!!!! (its a top 5 school) and thanks to Jim!

Hey guys, just now completed my GMAT and got 760. I owe this score to Jim as much as I owe it to Grockit. He is an excellent tutor, I took a personal tutoring session (only $10 per hour, and worth each penny.) and couple of other sessions. The way he guides you to find the answers your self rather than directly pointing to the answer is really amazing. I recommend him for anyone who wants a great Verbal score. Thanks a million Jim …..

Jim is a great tutor and an educator in the true sense of the word. He offers help only when is needed and pushes you to discover the path to answering correctly. He is also sensitive and aware of the differences when approaching verbal questions if you are a non-native speaker. Jim rocks!
